More Real than the Real Jewelry – Jewelry Image Editing that Gave the Realistic Look

The Client - Well Known Retail Jewelry Merchant. In business since 1976, the client is a family-owned and operated business which designs and supplies exquisite jewelry for the public. Located in the heart of Los Angeles, they are committed to providing a wide selection of certified loose diamonds, finished jewelry, custom jewelry options, and unparalleled customer service.

Their inventory and styles have grown and adapted vastly over the years, and it’s their mission to help the market of retail jewelry stand out.

Requirements for the Jewelry Image Editing Project

Getting in contact with our team at SmartPHOTOeditors (SPE) through outbound call, the client requested our assistance for their project requiring professional jewelry image editing. We were required to clip the images, as well as change the backgrounds, remove dust and scratches, and provide high-end image enhancements with a glossy finish for their jewelry catalog and online portals.

We were also asked to pay special attention to image glare, dark spots and color corrections; as well as creating duplicate pairs according guidelines the client provided. This project required our jewelry image editing team to work on 1000 images every week.

Challenges Tackled by SPE’s Team

Challenges Tackled by SPE’s Team While working on this project, the main challenge was to deal with the turnaround time without compromising on the quality of the deliverables. The client needed a minimum of 200 images done by the end of each day, which did present a time pressure for our editors. In order to contend with this difficulty, we chose our most efficient editors and had numerous meetings with the client in order to plan the project, prioritize images batches and clarify exactly what was needed in order to speed up delivery.

Process Steps for the High-value Jewelry Editing Project

At SmartPHOTOeditors, we are backed by years of image editing experience, in-depth knowledge of industry requirements, and leading software as well as hardware infrastructure.

We assigned two dedicated resources to work on this project, ensuring that the client would receive only the best quality outputs from the very beginning.

Our step by step process was as follows:

  • After successfully completing a trial period for the client, they sent us the main JPEG images.
  • We began by planning and completing an image clipping path before removing the backgrounds and replacing them with white ones.
  • Using Adobe Photoshop, we removed dust, scratches, glare, and dark spot and completed the requested high-end enhancements.
  • We created a duplicate to make it a pair wherever required, following the guidelines of 3000 x 3000 pixels at 300 dpi.

Finally, we sent the completed batches to the client.

The Client Benefitted on Cost, Quality, and Timeline

As this project has progressed, our quality and efficiency have spoken for itself. Each image has been edited to perfection and has successfully enhanced the client’s already impressive portfolio. By choosing to work with us, the client has also saved an average of 70% in costs and is very impressed with our work and pricing.

Moving forward, we anticipate a highly beneficial working relationship and look forward to regularly surpassing the trials, and goals put before us. Each of our editors is highly experienced, and it shows in every output.
